Gift Terms

1. What You Can Gift
You may purchase a gift subscription to The Daily Lesson for another person. Available gift tiers: Monthly (1 month), Yearly (12 months), or Family (1 month, up to 5 profiles). Gift purchases are one-time payments at the standard price for your billing band.
2. Purchase and Delivery
You do not need a Daily Lesson account to purchase a gift. You provide the recipient's name and email, an optional personal message, and a delivery date (default: immediately). Payment is processed via Stripe at the time of purchase.
On the delivery date, the recipient receives an email with a unique redemption code and a link to /gift/redeem/<code>.
3. Redemption
The recipient creates an account (or signs in to an existing one) and enters the redemption code. The subscription is immediately activated with no further payment required for the gift period. At the end of the gift period, the recipient may choose to continue with their own paid subscription or let access lapse.
Redemption codes do not expire. A code may only be redeemed once.
4. Affiliate Attribution
If you have an affiliate code, it is automatically attached to the gift. The recipient is permanently attributed to you as a referral. You earn 10% commission on all charges the recipient makes after the gift period (standard affiliate terms apply).
If you do not have an account at the time of purchase, you may create one within 30 days to retroactively attach affiliate attribution.
5. Refunds
Gift purchases are refundable within 30 days if the gift has not been redeemed. After redemption, the gift is non-refundable. Contact hello@thedailylesson.com.
6. Restrictions
- You may not gift a subscription to yourself (email match is checked).
- Gift redemption codes are non-transferable and may not be resold.
- Gifts cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
